The Mississippi Sigma Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon has experienced challenges but looks forward to success.  During the past fall and spring semesters, the chapter has rebounded with recruitment.  In the fall 2007, the chapter initiated 18 new members and an additional 8 in spring 2008.  The chapter has pledged more than any other fraternity on campus during the spring.  The chapter has assisted with ZooBoo, which is a volunteer program that helps the zoo run an annual event for children.  During the spring, the chapter raised $5000 for Civitan Camp, a local charity in Hattiesburg.
